Khushi Baby (KB) is a novel technology platform to monitor and follow-up maternal and child health at the last mile. The platform consists of a beneficiary-specific digital, health record for the mother and child; an Android application for planning and point of care decision making for health workers; a dashboard for health officials to follow-up with supply side gaps and highest risk patients; a community outreach platform of programmable and personalized voice call reminders in the local dialect to improve awareness and adherence; and curated WhatsApp groups to facilitate communication between health workers and officials.
Mohammed Shahnawaz is co-founder & COO at Khushi Baby. He is a Doctoral Fellow from Indian Institute of Health Management Research who dropped out to lead KB Operations including Government partnerships and scale up strategy. Shahnawaz received the Young Researcher Grant from Johns Hopkins to evaluate the first trial of Khushi Baby.
Ruchit Nagar is co-founder and CEO at Khushi Baby. He completed his MPH from Yale School of Public Health and is currently a third year candidate at Harvard Medical School. Ruchit was selected as a Forbes 30 under 30 member for health care in 2016 and received the Young Alumnus Award from the Yale School of Public Health in 2017.
