Indian School of Democracy is a non-partisan organization that conducts short term and long term programs for aspiring, grassroots political leaders. ISD nurtures political leaders who have moral courage and imagination, to make democracy work for every citizen. The focus is on cultivating hard skills for public service, spaces for inner work and moral leadership and a community of aspiring political leaders across party lines.

People

Hemakshi Meghani

Hemakshi is the Co-Founder of Indian School of Democracy that has a mission to nurture principled grassroots political leaders. She has completed her Master's in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School (HKS) as a World Bank Graduate Scholar. She started her journey as a Teach For India fellow in Mumbai, has worked with a few education startups, and with Boston Consulting Group (BCG). She has attended and facilitated various leadership forums across the world, and is a trained coach in adaptive leadership.

Prakhar Bhartiya

Prakhar is the Co Founder of Indian School of Democracy that has a mission to nurture principled grassroots political leaders. An engineer and a Teach for India fellow, Prakhar is the founder of the grassroots leadership organization Youth Alliance (YA). He has a Masters in Public Administration from SIPA, Columbia University.A mentor to multiple social entrepreneurs, Prakhar also serves on the board of Kat Katha and Shikshartha.
